Felony DV Arrest and No Bail

SPD arrests male for 1st Degree Kidnapping-DV after victim held against her will on separate occasions over 2 days, suspect released on own recognizance by court 12 hours after being booked


On 3-25-24 at 4:27pm, SPD contacted a victim in regards to a kidnapping incident. During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the victim had been kept inside an apartment on 3-24-24. The victim attempted to leave the apartment, but the suspect stopped her and took her cell phone. The suspect was armed with a handgun at one point and the victim relayed she was in fear the suspect would use the gun on her. During the course of the night, the victim convinced the suspect to let her go as she had to work. After leaving the next morning, she went to work and soon began receiving messages from the suspect that were threatening in nature.


 The victim left work and went to another location where the suspect pulled up in a vehicle and threatened to shoot her if she did not get in the car. Out of fear, the victim complied. The suspect drove the victim to the downtown area where she tried to get out of the moving vehicle, eventually escaping when the vehicle stopped at a light. The victim ran away screaming before calling 911. Officers established probable cause to arrest the suspect for 1st Degree Kidnapping-DV. SPD responded to the suspect’s residence in Browne’s Addition and located his vehicle. The male entered his vehicle and fled from officers as they approached. Spike strips were deployed to stop the vehicle, but the suspect escaped. SPD continued efforts to locate the suspect and later found the involved vehicle on the lower south hill. Additional information was obtained the led to the apprehension of the suspect in the 3900 block of East 25th Avenue.


Zeenon A. Pierson (26) was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Kidnapping-DV and Attempting To Elude A Police Vehicle.
